Kristen bought an additional overskirt with a cathedral length train to wear during her ceremony. However, her gown was not made to have an over skirt. We found a way to hide the attachment points so that when she took it off for the reception- her photos were just as spectacular. We hemmed the gown and the overskirt and then did a pretty French bustle for her reception.

From a too big and broken sample sale gown to the dress of her dreams. We fit Amber’s bodice in several areas and moved several of the lace appliqués for a seamlessly perfect fit. Buttons were custom dyed and covered with net to match the few buttons left on the back. Finally, we chose a traditional bustle with several buttons because the buttons were one of Amber’s favorite features of the gown.

She has made custom couture gowns for Las Vegas showgirls and Texas debutantes. She is who everyone calls to fix the mistakes made by other tailors, so she decided to build her own concierge business where she can do formal gown alterations right the first time for a reasonable cost.
